Settings Reference
Every settings tab in StreamNook and what each one controls.
Open settings with the gear icon in the title bar or press Ctrl+,. The settings window has a searchable sidebar. This page lists every tab and what lives in it.
By default settings open as a centered window. Turn off Compact Settings Window in the Interface tab for a full-page layout.
Profile
Your account and identity hub. Manage linked accounts, switch or sign out, connect 7TV for paints and badges, equip cosmetics, view your rank and entitlements, choose your profile theme, control which sections show on your public profile, and view accolades. See Profile and Cosmetics.
Player
Everything about playback.
- Player overlay buttons: turn the on-player action buttons on or off (follow, subscribe, clip, clips and VODs, add to multi-stream, reload, close).
- Auto-switch: what happens when a stream goes offline, including switching to the same category or your follows, following raids, and staying in offline chat.
- Streamlink: stream timeout, retry count, and enhanced codecs.
- Video: lock aspect ratio, low-latency target mode, preferred codec, and quality auto-selection.
- Audio boost: the compressor and gain controls with a reset.

Chat
The look and behavior of chat.
- Chat design: font size and weight, line height, and text rendering.
- Name style: how your own name and its separator appear, and the accent source.
- Behavior: timestamps and format, emote scale, deleted-message handling, collapsing repeats, offline chat, and the input placeholder.
- Appearance: hover preview size, separators, current-user highlight, and viewer count.
- Custom user commands, highlights, and per-user overrides.
Moderation
Tools for mods and broadcasters: the moderation action style (buttons, drag, or both), mod logs visibility and detail, and the moderation keyboard shortcuts. See Moderation.
Interface
The app shell.
- Sidebar display mode: expanded, compact, hidden, or disabled, plus expand-on-hover and recommendations.
- Compact settings window toggle.
- Motion: full, reduced, or off.
- Compact view presets for theater sizing.
Theme
Pick a built-in theme (including OLED), adjust glass transparency, choose an interface font, and create or edit your own custom themes.
Integrations
Connected services, including Discord Rich Presence to show what you are watching. Plugins that add integrations appear here too.
Notifications
Toast position and edge spacing, duration, sound volume, and update notification options.
Cache
Manage the emote and badge cache: enable it, set how long items are kept, view cache info, open the cache folder, clear it, and configure emote prefetch.
Command Palette
The Ctrl+K palette and your snippets. Browse built-in snippet categories, add and edit your own, favorite them, and copy them. See Command palette.
Keybindings
Customize every shortcut. Search commands, group them by category, add or remove bindings, and reset to defaults. The tab warns about conflicts and lists reserved keys. See Keyboard shortcuts.
Backup
Open your settings folder, export your settings to a file, or import one. This is how you move StreamNook to another PC.
Support
Community and diagnostics: the Discord invite, app logs, log export, bug reports, and documentation links.
What's New
The changelog for the current version. Opens automatically after an update, or press Ctrl+Shift+C.
Plugins
Browse the marketplace, see installed plugins and updates, and open each plugin's settings. See Plugins.
